After an incredibly successful and enjoyable year, I am pleased to announce Flower Thyme’s Fresh Flower Workshop Programme for 2018. This programme combines classic, popular workshops with lots of new classes for 2018 responding to our request for even more opportunities to get creative! All classes are held away from our retail shop in our purpose built workshop in the Old Mill, Kineton – created specifically to accommodate classes of up to 10 individuals in a comfortable, practical environment.
All classes are small and informal, catering for all abilities from the absolute beginner to the more experienced flower arranger. Fees include the cost of all materials and tuition and refreshments are provided, you will leave the class with a display to take home and enjoy. Full payment (non-refundable) is required upon booking to secure your place and early booking is essential as classes do fill up quickly. If you belong to a club or organization or just want to gather a few friends together and would like to book a private class on any subject listed or one of your choice, please call me to discuss additional dates.

Easter Door Wreaths – Thursday 15th March 7-9pm - £35
Why do we only welcome our guests at Christmas with a decorated door? On this class we will use an oasis frame to create a stunning spring wreath using herbs, textural foliages, spring flowers and eggs – you will learn how to make a beautiful design to welcome family and friends this Easter.
Easter Tablecentres – Wednesday 28th March 7-9pm - £35
Spring Flowers – daffodils, tulips and beautifully scented hyacinths present a serious challenge when arranging due to their ‘soft’ stems. On this class you will learn many techniques and how to create stunning and simple designs using the wealth of flowers available at this time of year.
You will make a modern table centre to grace your table this Easter holiday.

Stunning Succulents – Tuesday 1st May 7-9pm - £35
The growing popularity of these easy-to-care-for plants has led me to design a class where you will create a “living sculpture”. Using a wire oasis frame you will create a 3 dimensional design incorporating a kaleidoscope of stunning succulents which you can enjoy for months to come.
Summer Hanging Baskets – Wednesday 16th May 7-9pm - £45
With my garden centre background I will share my experience and knowledge on how to create your own hanging basket for this summer.
You will create a stunning 14” basket, traditionally lined with moss and filled with plants of your choice from a large selection provided. Whether themed by colour or dictated by position I will guide you through to ensure your basket is the envy of your neighbourhood this year!
Vintage and Country Flowers – Wednesday 27th June 6.30 9.30pm- £50 - A class for a midsummer evening at thyme for tea
Reflect the romance of a classic English country garden using abundance of roses, delphinium, stocks, and other varieties to create an informal display.
We will create a design in a jug in rustic cottage garden style using a blowsy range of flowers and herbs scented and gorgeous!
Following the class we will enjoy a relaxed summer supper in our Emma Bridgewater themed tea room. Price includes class and supper.
A Garden Bouquet – Tuesday 17th July 7-9pm - £35
Using flowers and foliages grown in the garden I will share with you hints and tips on how to create your own cutting garden. Sweet Peas, cornflowers, dahlias and a wealth of other materials will then be used to create arrangements suitable to decorate your outside space at home. We will create an informal gin bottle arrangement to decorate the table and a simple handtied design.
Contemporary Floral Design – Thursday 9th August 7-9pm - £35
This workshop is all about structure, design and creative restraint!
Using tropical unusual flowers and fantastic foliages to stunning effect you will create an amazing design suitable to suit a contemporary space.
Harvest Home – Wednesday 12th September 7-9pm - £35
Probably my favourite time of the year. Using the seasonal bounty of berries, wheat and autumnal colours we will create an arrangement to decorate your table for a harvest supper.
Green and Gorgeous – Thursday 18th October 7-9pm - £35
Often overlooked herbs and textural foliages will be more centre stage at this workshop.
All aspects of their care and cultivation will be covered and you will then learn a variety of techniques to use these gorgeous greens to amazing effect.
Christmas Table Centres – Tuesday 20th November & Thursday 22nd November 7-9pm - £35
An opportunity to learn how to create a stunning long and low design incorporating seasonal evergreen foliage material, candles and rich coloured fresh flowers to great effect. This will allow you to hone your skills well ahead of the busy festive season allowing you to then recreate the design to adorn your Christmas table.
Christmas all wrapped up! - Sunday 9th December 10-4pm - £100
Join us for a full day on Sunday 9th December! In the morning you will create a luxury evergreen doorwreath, enjoy a prosecco light lunch at Thyme for Tea our Emma Bridgewater themed tea room and in the afternoon create a christmas table centre.

You will learn how to make a traditional mixed evergreen doorwreath using moss, holly, ivy and spruce, this will then be decorated with fruit, berries and fabric ribbon allowing you to take home your completed wreath – Ready to hang on your door for the festive period.
Luxury Evergreen Doorwreath –Thursday 6th December 7-9pm- £50
Following requests for our best selling design this is a class in which you can make a textural rustic doorwreath. Using a combination of foliages including eucalyptus, herbs, ivy trails and mimosa you will create a 12” doorwreath then dress it with berries, thistle and pheasant feathers using traditional techniques.
Mixed Evergreen Swags – Wednesday 12th December 7-9pm - £50
Using traditional techniques you will learn how to make a metre-long garland which can be used to decorate your fireplace or staircase at Christmas. Mixed evergreen materials will be combined to stunning effect with cones, berries and fruits to complete your design.
