Workshops

Dear All,

After an incredibly successful and enjoyable year, I am pleased to announce Flower Thyme’s Fresh Flower Workshop Programme for 2017. From a firm foundation, established over 17 years of tutoring all ages and abilities in the wonderful world of floristry, I hope you will find lots of ideas here to tempt and inspire you over the coming months. All classes are held away from our retail shop in our purpose built workshop in the Old Mill, Kineton – created specifically to accommodate classes of up to 10 individuals in a comfortable, practical environment.

All classes are small and informal, catering for all abilities from the absolute beginner to the more experienced flower arranger. Fees include the cost of all materials and tuition and refreshments are provided, you will leave the class with a display to take home and enjoy. Full payment (non-refundable) is required upon booking to secure your place and early booking is essential as classes do fill up quickly. If you belong to a club or organization or just want to gather a few friends together and would like to book a private class on any subject listed or one of your choice, please call me to discuss additional dates.

I look forward to a flower arranging year with you all.

                                                                                    Gill

A trip to the Dutch flower auctions and bulb fields has inspired me to offer you the chance to work with the glorious kaleidoscope of colours tulips have to offer. I will share with you insider hints and tips on how to work with these seasonal beauties to dramatic effect. We will create a contemporary design in oasis as well as a spring hand tie to grace your home.

Easter Door Wreaths – Thursday 6th April 7-9pm - £35

Why do we only welcome our guests at Christmas with a decorated door? On this class we will use an oasis frame to create a stunning spring wreath using herbs, textural foliages, spring flowers and eggs – you will learn how to make a beautiful design to welcome family and friends this Easter.

Easter Tablecentres – Tuesday 11th April 7-9pm - £35

Spring Flowers – daffodils, tulips and beautifully scented hyacinths present a serious challenge when arranging due to their ‘soft’ stems. On this class you will learn many techniques and how to create stunning and simple designs using the wealth of flowers available at this time of year.

You will make a modern table centre to grace your table this Easter holiday.

*Book the two classes above together for the reduced price of £60 and have your home perfectly decorated for Easter!*

With my garden centre background I will share my experience and knowledge on how to create your own hanging basket for this summer.

You will create a stunning 14” basket, traditionally lined with moss and filled with plants of your choice from a large selection provided. Whether themed by colour or dictated by position I will guide you through to ensure your basket is the envy of your neighbourhood this year!
